The AI Practice is open, and it’s free for founding members

Some of us are in Claude or ChatGPT every day. Some of us just found out what a project is. Most marketing and comms people I talk to are somewhere in between, trying to figure it out on their own between deadlines.

So we’re starting The AI Practice, a new program inside The Marcomm Grind where marcomm folks practice using AI together. It’s free for founding members through the end of 2026.

What is The AI Practice?

The AI Practice is a monthly practice space for marketing and communications people who want to get better at using AI in their work. Each month we pick one thing and work on it together. Sometimes that’s building something, like a system or a workflow. Sometimes it’s getting better at prompting or automating a piece of the job you’re tired of doing by hand.

We’ll also talk about where AI doesn’t belong in your work. Knowing when to keep it out, and keeping your own critical thinking sharp, matters just as much as knowing how to use it.

I’m teaching the master classes. I run The Marcomm Grind’s marketing mostly on my own, and AI workflows I built myself handle a lot of it, from the newsletter to the job board. I’ll teach from what I actually use, including the parts that didn’t work the first time.

Who is it for?

Anyone in marketing or comms who’s curious about AI, at any comfort level. That includes brand marketers, internal comms, PR, and social and content teams, whether you’re in-house, at an agency, freelancing or between roles. If you’ve never written a prompt, you’re welcome here. If you use AI every day, there’s plenty for you to build on.

It works with whatever AI tool you already use, whether that’s Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot.

How does it work?

• A monthly master class. We build something together live, and you follow along with your own work.
• A monthly challenge. You try what we built on your own work, and you can pick the level that fits where you are. We spotlight what members share at the end of the month.
• The Clinic. Office hours where we work through the challenge and anything else you’re stuck on.
• The Replay Room. Every session is recorded, so you can catch up if you can’t make it live.
• Resources. A prompt library, templates and playbooks you can use any time.
• A members’ space in the community to share prompts, wins and the things that didn’t go to plan.

It starts with Preseason

September is Preseason: four 30-minute warm-ups, every Wednesday at 11am ET. They’re open to guests, so bring a marcomm friend.

Season 1 kicks off October 7

Our first master class is Build a Content Repurposing System From Scratch on Wednesday, October 7 at 11am ET. You’ll take one piece of content you’ve already published and turn it into a month of assets, and you’ll leave with a system you can run again every time you publish. November and December build on it, moving toward workflows that take more of the work off your plate.

What does it cost?

Founding membership is free through December 31, 2026, and you can join any time this year. The sooner you join, the more you get out of it for free. In 2027 The AI Practice becomes a paid program, and founding members get first access and a founding rate.

The Marcomm Grind community itself stays free.
